Menu 'Page'

In short

  • Function

  • In the 'page' menu, titles and body content of the webpages are added to the site, completed with an image or otherwise.

  • Frontend

  • The title is displayed in the TITLE AREA, at the top of the webpage, and in the title bar of the browser.
The body content is displayed in the TEXT AREA.

In principle, both areas are located in the centre part of the webpage.

    Points for attention

  • Structure of the site

  • In the 'Page' menu you can define in what sitestyle the page shall be displayed and what buttonset shall be shown. Both options are very dependent of the fact whether you want to make a simple website (in such case this can be done very simply) or whether you want to develop a more complex site.

It is therefore advised first to read the pages Structure of the site, Working with sitestyles and Working with buttons.

  • Functional demands in the sitestyle

  • The width of TITLE AREA and TEXT AREA is automatically adjusted to the screen resolution of the visitor.

When defining the width of the adjacent areas, take care that sufficient space is available in lower resolutions for the page title, body content and image.

    See also Working with sizes.

Explanatory notes to the input fields
ID:The ID (identification number of the page) is automatically generated.
Working title:The working title is not visible at the frontend, but is a practical tool at the backend. At the backend the pages are listed in alphabetic order of working title.

    Tip 1:
It is useful to include numbers ánd text in the working titles, e.g.:
    001 Home
    100 Information
    200 Contact
    etc.
Don't use consecutive numbers. In the above series of working titles, for instance, you still can insert a new page 150 Xxxxx beween the pages 100 and 200 very easily.

    Tip 2:
It is even more useful to synchronize the numbering of pages with the numbering of buttons, of which the working titles determine the order of display at the frontend. It helps you keeping overview.
Page title:This title is displayed at the frontend at 2 places:
    • in the upper part of the webpage in the TITLE AREA.
    • in the title bar of the browser.

Page text:This text is displayed at the frontend in the TEXT AREA.

The height of the TEXT AREA automatically adjusts itself to the length of the entered text.

    • If you want to make a simple site with 1 level of buttons:
