Menu 'Foto'

In short

  • Function

  • Beside the default images at certain places, additional images can be added to the webpage.

In a first step, image files are uploaded at the backend through this 'Foto' menu. They are stored in the QwikZite database with a unique ID number.

In a second step, so-called HTML code, refering to the image ID, is included in the text at the backend to make the image visible at the frontend.
In any field at the backend where you have the opportunity for text-input, you can insert such HTML code.

  • Frontend

  • At any place in QwikZite texts, additional images can be displayed.

    Points for attention

  • Inserting extra images with HTML

  • Different from the default images in QwikZite, by means of HTML code you can define the following properties of the extra images: place at the webpage, size, border, distance between image and text, etc. As well, you can transform the images into 'hyperlinks'.

For examples and further information about using HTML, see: Working with HTML.
For comprehensive information about images, see: Working with images.

  • Favicon

  • A 'favicon' is an icon displayed in the address field of the browser when a site is opened.

For adding your own favicon to the site, foto ID=1 of the 'foto' table is reserved.
By default, the QwikZite favicon is included as foto 1. If you wish, you can replace this favicon with your own favicon.

For information about the specific demands and specific behaviour of favicon images, see: Working with images: Favicon.

Explanatory notes to the input fields
ID:The ID (identification number of the foto/image) is automatically generated.

When inserting extra images, you shall refer to this number.
Working title:The working title is not visible at the frontend, but is a practical tool at the backend. At the backend the pages are listed in alphabetic order of working title.
Image file:Browse to the file location at your computer.

After pressing the button 'Submit changes', the file is added to the database and details of the file (type, size and name) will be displayed in the entry screen.

For comprehensive information about images, see: Working with images.
