Access procedures

  • QwikZite can be accessed at the secured address:
    https://yoursite/qzadmin

where 'yoursite' shall be replaced by the fĂșll URL of the website, e.g.:
    https://www.example.com/qzadmin

  • Your browser will notify you that you are going to access a secured website, and that there is a possible problem with the security certificate of the site. Such is not the case! You can trust the certificate and simply go on.

(If you regularly use the same computer for maintaining your QwikZite, you can avoid this annoying message by clicking on 'show certificate' and subsequently on 'install certificate'. Next time you login, the message will not appear any more.

  • Provide your user name and password.

    Warning:
Many browsers have password managers to save/remember the passwords for accessing secured sites. Don't use this password function for QwikZite. Anyone knowing your user name, would in such case get automatic access.

Logout

  • QZAdmin has no specific logout procedure.

It uses the default http-authorisation procedure: as long as one or more browser screens are active - not necessarily the QZAdmin - your login will remain active as well.

When using the QZAdmin in the office or at home, this procedure has advantages.

  • When using the QZAdmin in an internet cafĂ©, however, it is important to close all active browser screens for actual logout. In this way you prevent others from getting access to your QwikZite.
